CHARGED IS HERE FOR THE GIRL CHILD!

CHARGED – Change Her Attitude Revolutionize Girls Empowerment and Development is on to give that girl at the grassroots a chance to see beyond the obstacles she sees and rise and pursue her dream.  In this project, we are imploring the girl child to accept and face the reality of life; to appreciate what they are and work towards bettering their own life. We are up to invite the world and the girl child to carefully and correctly analyze some of the campaign philosophies by the feminists that the world is a soft place or the world should be made a free sail-through environment and easy-life zone for the girl child. Some of these campaigns are more of illusions, more theoretical, easy said than done and not sustainable in real life especially our context and unfortunately the girl child keeps on banking on these and end up disillusioned.

We are therefore encouraging the girls to remain home and help their mothers do the domestic work or use the plentiful land still at their disposal to plant something and out of it, something good can be harvested. We are saying our young girls should accept to study where their parents can afford instead of running away from the truth of life, taking refuge in town as housemaids and roadside restaurant attendants in town suburbs, selling themselves into slavery at that tender age. We are telling the girls who are following the track of education to stop sleeping and work hard if their dream of soft and easy life must come true. The free 1.5 point of the affirmative action cannot take them anywhere. If Law requires 20 points, work for it, If Medicine needs 20, equally battle for it, or else you can chose to relax and see if the 1.5 will earn you a apace at the lecture rooms.

Read hard, score excellently and don't waste time competing or struggling to equal the boys, like you always misinterpret the meaning of equality. Compete with the reality of the world; compete to meet the entry requirement for your dream career, compete to find solutions to world problems, and compete to change the world to make it a better place for your generation and the generations coming after yours. Don’t study to pass like your brother, don’t let any man be your measuring parameter such that where men have failed, you feel comfortable saying “if a whole man can fail, who am i?” No! We are saying, rise to meet the demands of the world not to do what men can do.

Here at Imani 1985 and our sister initiative Theatre Technology House (https://tthcraft.blogspot.ug/), we are surrounded by a team of young ladies who did not bow down and worshiped ignorance; they did not accept to be hoodwinked; they vowed to take the bull by its horn and now they are relevant women contributing perfectly in their different professional areas in the cooperate world. A good number are now family women, some are mothers and all of them are living a modest life earning respect from their agreements, the young and old because they don't mix issues; they do not contradict education and their gender roles as mothers-great transmitters of life and sources of happiness in a family. They are here CHARGED and ready to go out there, meet that young girl, Change Her Attitude, and Revolutionize Girls Empowerment and Development (CHARGED). And this is what the REACH 5K GIRLS PROJECT IS ALL ABOUT.

I CONDEMN THESE ACTS IN TOTALITY - Ms. Rebecca Nyatima

Women are dying silently, they are psychologically tortured, they are being tormented every day. Because their husbands chose to marry them but instead listens and respects only alcohol. Alcohol is the gateway that men use to engage themselves in cheating on their wives, spending money on outside relationships, contracting HIV/AIDS, neglecting their children and the needs(conjugal obligation) wives, Now where do you want this woman to get satisfaction from??? Later a woman is yelled at, shouted, fooled, beaten and killed or , She toils day and night to meet the needs of her children while her husbands ''enjoys'' with his friends; If she survives death, the poor woman is stressed, tormented and later she packs her things and she leaves, leaving the children begging on streets. I CONDEMN THESE ACTS IN TOTALITY. 16Days
